Congratulations to all the Amped Up Adventure Racers in Aurora on May 27. They ran, they biked, then ran some more! They jumped into kayaks on the Fox River for a paddle, then ran down the Fox River Trail to the Amped Up Obstacle Course. It was quite an adventurous day for all the racers! Daily Herald, May 28, 2012 – “Athletes taste ‘adventure’ at fundraising race in Aurora” - Amped Theresa Rogers had her first “adventure racing” experience on what turned out to be a scorching hot and humid day Sunday. Her verdict: “I’d definitely do it again.” Rogers, a Carol Stream resident, was one of about 130 people who signed up for the Amped Up Adventure Race held in downtown Aurora on Sunday. The event, a first for the City of Aurora, raised money for a redesigned canoe chute on the Fox River.” Read More…
